CBD Products — Oils, Edibles and Non-Intoxicating Cannabis

CBD (cannabidiol) is a cannabinoid that does not produce intoxication. It is used for calm, discomfort and general wellbeing without the high associated with THC, and it is available as oils, capsules, edibles, topicals and CBD-dominant flower. Same-day delivery across Toronto and the GTA.

CBD vs THC

Both are cannabinoids from the same plant, but they behave very differently. THC binds strongly to CB1 receptors in the brain and produces intoxication. CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system through different and less direct mechanisms, and does not produce a high at any normal dose.

Some people find CBD takes the edge off THC — it is often suggested for moderating an uncomfortably strong THC experience, though evidence on this is mixed rather than conclusive.

Understanding CBD:THC ratios

  • Pure CBD (no THC) — no intoxication at all.
  • 20:1 or 10:1 — strongly CBD-dominant. Minimal intoxication.
  • 4:1 or 2:1 — noticeable but mild THC effect alongside the CBD.
  • 1:1 — balanced. Clearly intoxicating, but often described as gentler than THC alone.

Formats

  • Oils and tinctures — taken under the tongue for faster absorption than swallowing. Easy to dose precisely.
  • Capsules — consistent dosing, no taste.
  • Edibles and gummies — slower onset, longer duration.
  • Topiques — applied to skin for localised use. Do not enter the bloodstream meaningfully.
  • CBD flower — smoked or vaporized for rapid onset.

A note on evidence

CBD is widely used and generally well tolerated, but claims made about it often outrun the research. The strongest evidence supports its use in specific seizure disorders, where it has regulatory approval. For anxiety, sleep, inflammation and pain, evidence is preliminary and mixed. CBD can also interact with some medications, including blood thinners.

We are not medical professionals and this is not medical advice. If you are considering CBD for a health condition or take prescription medication, speak with a doctor or pharmacist first.

Questions fréquemment posées

Does CBD get you high?
No. CBD is non-intoxicating at normal doses.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?
THC binds strongly to CB1 receptors and causes intoxication. CBD acts through different mechanisms and does not.

What does a 1:1 ratio mean?
Equal parts CBD and THC. It is intoxicating, though often described as gentler than THC alone.

How long does CBD take to work?
Sublingual oils act within 15-45 minutes; edibles take 30 minutes to 2 hours; inhaled CBD works within minutes.

Can CBD interact with medication?
Yes — including blood thinners. Check with a doctor or pharmacist if you take prescription medication.

Will CBD show up on a drug test?
Pure CBD generally will not, but full-spectrum products contain trace THC that may register. Choose isolate products if this matters.
