Lebanese hash has been renowned for its’ quality for as long as it’s been around. Cultivated in the heart of the Baalbek valley, the harsh conditions and un-ideal climate help the landrace strains produce thick coats of THC trichomes that give it its’ unique potency and quality. The red in Red Lebanese hash comes from the natural drying and curing process of the raw cannabis plant – as it’s left to dry in the sun, it acquires a red tint from the sunlight and its’ own natural pistils. Once the hashish is processed, it is left to dry and properly cure, which can take anywhere between 4-8 months. This lengthy process allows the hash to develop an ideal consistency that is pliable, yet stiff enough to work, and also allows for the hash to deepen its’ aroma and flavours. The result is a particularly cerebral experience, unlike many other forms of hash, which tend to be more sedating, although still providing an immaculate body stone and waves of relaxation.
What Is Hash?
Hash is the result of the separation of the THC or trichome resin glands of the cannabis plant separating from the plant material itself. The pure THC or kief is then generally pressed into a brick shape with heat to form hash or ‘hashish’ as others may know it as.
